Program Summary

This paper reports on the relationship between a language teacher-educator and ten L2 teacher-candidates as they engaged in drama-based instruction (DBI) in a teaching methods course.  Focusing on one particular participant, classroom observations and semi-structured interviews highlight moments of struggle, confusion, and success as play is ‘re-learned’ and teaching transformed.
