Program Summary

Given that learning to teach involves developing a professional identity, calls for an identity approach to language teacher education are increasing. This paper details a study of teacher candidates’ experiences with identity-oriented activities in a TESOL/TFL capstone practicum course. Implications for course and program design will be discussed.
