Program Summary
More language teachers find themselves teaching heritage learners, yet relatively few empirical studies exist regarding effective practices for teaching heritage language learners, and language teachers experience limited to no preparation. Findings from interviews and participatory design research with thirty heritage language teachers offer a framework of pedagogical content knowledge.
