Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to understand the novel ways by which libraries and librarians are positively affecting scholarly and scientific communication, make creative connections between the library community’s expertise and how this knowledge can be used to solve scholarly communication problems, reference a list of case-studies, experts, and resources that can be used to inform new projects and further education. 

Abstract

This session will explore how libraries and librarians are positively affecting scholarly communication in new and impactful ways.  Several case studies will be used to exemplify how our community’s expertise is being applied to projects and initiatives that build upon and extend beyond our traditional spheres of influence.
