Instructional plans for teaching reading and writing to ELLs
Session Abstract
Panel members will demonstrate the use of oral reading and writing samples to develop specific literacy plans for ESL students and document their progress. Participants will learn to use information from these samples to design instruction for addressing needs in phonics, reading comprehension and writing fluency.

Pamela Shufro is an MRA Board member who has been an English teacher, reading teacher, and ESL teacher at elementary and secondary levels. She has also provided professional development to teachers and school leaders through consulting and university teaching.
