Session Abstract

Not every learner comes to a new learning environment as a novice. This poster session will discuss the top three challenges as well as the rewards of mentoring the experienced practitioner.

Target Audience

Professionals and practitioners from business, education, law enforcement, and health care may find this session beneficial as it can inform their practice.

Learning Outcomes

Following this session, participants will be able to
- Identify possible challenges to this not so unique teaching/learning experience
- Identify possible solutions to the challenges
- Identify the rewards that come from the shared learning experience.

Session Description

This poster session will focus on a not so unique learning experience where the experienced practitioner is now the mentee.  At the end of the session participants will possess a better understanding of possible challenges faced by the mentor and experienced mentee as well as identifying potential solution and the rewards that come from the shared learning experience.
