Session Abstract
The study assessed the importance of adult education in citizens’ enlightenment towards planning for aging friendly environment and how it can promote longevity. A survey research was carried out on civil servants in Southwest, Nigeria. 50 civil servants were selected from each of the six state capitals in the region.
Target Audience
My target audience are adult education professionals, engineers, psychologists, sociologists, town planners, caring home managers, students, all those who wish to live above the middle age and those who appreciate the imperative of planning safe environment for old age.
Learning Outcomes
Learners will be aware of the kind of environment, home settings and appliances that are safe for age at the end of the session. They will also see the need to start planning for such in case the thought was not there before.
Session Description
The study examined the importance of Adult education in enlightening and educating citizens on safe enviromental sustainablity in later years.
The study is significant to all stakeholders in the business of graceful aging as it promotes safety and longevity.
The lessons of the study will increase life expectancy particularly in some parts of Africa.
The innovation brought about by this study is the fact that as time goes on structures meant for the aged group will be made with certain specifications.
The time taken to conduct the research is four months, having to travel round different state capitals to speak with government officials and later meet with various respondents.
