Abstract
In late 2018 Ex Libris embarked on a new project to create a new Central Discovery Index (CDI). Apart from providing operational efficiency and scalability well into the future, CDI also contains a graph database that is the basis for creating contextual relations & data intelligence. Contextual relations are used to create exploration services to help users to find the material they need & to move them beyond just basic searching. This session will provide an update on the CDI project & discuss how the contextual relations work as well as providing an outlook on projects Ex Libris is working on in its data labs.
