"Small Town, Big Talent: Identifying and Supporting Academically Promising Students in Rural Areas" is a recent research report produced by the Jack Kent Cook Foundation. James Madison University's Valley Scholars is one of several programs highlighted in the research providing educational enrichment, academic support and access to post secondary education. Through research and practice, recommendations of best practices are offered in identifying and working with talented rural students.
