Session Description

COVID-19 Pandemic has implemented the ultimate world of "VUCA" with the economic crisis, digital formation, political issue. Indeed, this issue is becoming increasingly important at a time not only for individuals but also for organizations and has negatively affected long-term productivity growth. At this time, HRD professionals have to look closely at employees and organizations but the HRD studies related to VUCA are sparse. Therefore, this study is very meaningful in integrating previous research. Also, the study approaches the theory of chaos and complexity to propose solutions. The crisis in the VUCA is a good time for learning. Timely, this study approaches the psychology and vulnerabilities felt by learners in unstable and highly disruptive VUCA environments; HRD should focus more on what capabilities and learning methods work, and how they can be connected to facilitate voluntary learning opportunities to learners. Not only will this study motivate and help rebuild the lives of employees who are struggling in organizational and social crises, but it also explores HRD’s changing role in the VUCA era. Further, it will have a significant impact on organizational performance and competitiveness.
