Session Abstract
This session describes empathy and how it is used to fully understand one's audience. Especially in the digital space, we are unable or unsure about how to communicate well. A robust communication begins with empathy and careful attention to the other person. This session will offer a practice opportunity.
Session Description
Through mini-lecture and question/answer, participants will learn about empathy and listening skills to increase the level and sophistication of their conversations, both in-person and online. The use of empathy increases awareness and understanding of the participants' emotions and statements, thereby enhancing the relationship.
