Session Abstract
This session will cover the lessons learned from implementing a systematic review process for integrating eLearning tools into online courseware at the eSchool of Graduate Professional Military Education.
Session Description
One of the benefits of online learning is that you have the ability to incorporate eLearning tools to enhance the learning experience. Often, eLearning tools are implemented without a thorough evaluation. Adopting a systematic process for reviewing eLearning tools can ensure that the eLearning tool you are looking to implement will align with your goals and outcomes. During this presentation, we will go over the process and resources that we, the eSchool of GPME, adopted to review eLearning tools for our online courseware. These include: (1) the review process developed by Pat Reid, (2) the Rubric for eLearning Tool Evaluation developed by Lauren M. Anstey and Gavan P.L. Watson and (3) the Request for eLearning Tool Review developed by Bethany Cleveland. It will also cover the lessons learned during the process and how we adapted these tools to our fit our needs.
