Program Summary
We analyzed three adult ESOL textbook series for how L2 listening is taught. The three series had virtually no focus on real-world listening, and the spoken texts did not utilize real-world spoken language. We provide suggestions for teacher educators about how to promote the teaching of real-world listening.
