Program Summary

This symposium highlights theory-practice connections that inform the professional development of language educators teaching for social justice. After overviewing relevant research, we discuss four components of social justice-oriented language teacher education: language-content integration, critical analysis, pedagogical tools, and community. We conclude by considering additional professional development needs and future directions.
