Session Abstract
Online discussions when crafted well develop student engagement and writing fluency. If not
crafted well, online discussions can be a string of unconnected responses to the teacher’s
prompt. In this session, participants will learn the “craft” of turning online forums into vibrant
discussions where students are constructing language together.
