Room 301
Keywords

Iterative Space Planning & Design

Learning Objectives

Understand the basic concept of iterative processes and design and how this methodology can be applied to space design. They will be able to leave the session with transferable and practical techniques that they can employ with their own space projects.

Abstract

Academic libraries are continuously exploring ways to improve spaces, accommodate populations, and serve diverse needs, while maintaining quality and functionality of learning environments. Borrowing from business/tech industries, where prototyping/iteration are the rule, this session details a case study of a user-centered redesign journey through small, thoughtful, and impactful solutions.
